Air Cargo Operations

An extremely large number of cargos are waiting for clearing customs outside the two international airports in the Metropolitan district everyday. In order for smooth customs, many cargos are going back and forth between Haneda and Narita Airports. The heavy traffic of those cargos are called ”transportation in bond” because they are before customs.

TransWeb is a proud supplier of purpose-built transporters to Hirano Logistics Corporation, a pioneer of bonded transportation among the major national airports. The transporter allows a dual-story carriage of popular AMA-standard containers. Impressive enough, the special vehicle features a capability of five AMA containers, or ten AKE containers when an additional trailer is attached.

Once the bonded transportation mainly relied on lorries, which accommodated only three AMA containers at maximum and there were much unused spaces. The transporter developed by TransWeb enables two additional containers to be loaded, making a significant contribution to reduced transportation costs. The transporter is now being used in the field and naturally draws attention from all those involved in the industry.

  • The roller mechanism over the joint between the two trainers enables push-loading from the rear-end.

  • Our transporter accommodates two more AMA containers than the conventional means of transportation.

The purpose-built transporter provides dual-fold advantages; more containers and reduced transportation costs.
